Newhaven Marina
Newhaven Marina has provided berthing facilities, fuel and other services for the crew transfer vessels working on the construction of the wind farm.
At its peak times there have been up to 10 vessels utilising the facility.
John Stirling, Managing Director of Newhaven Marina Ltd said:
We at Newhaven Marina have been delighted to work with Rampion from the very start of their arrival at the Port of Newhaven. We have provided the early facilities to berth and fuel the vessels working on the project, with the number increasing as the construction progressed.
Once the new infrastructure is constructed on the other side of the river to the marina, the Rampion vessels will complete their move to their purpose built facilities. It has been very pleasing as locals to see this enormous investment into the Port of Newhaven and the jobs, both short and long term, that Rampion has created.
Not only has Newhaven Marina benefited financially from Rampion as a very good customer, but the new equipment installed by them will assist our berth holders for many years to come.
Rampion’s use of the Newhaven Marina will leave a lasting legacy for the owners and customers using the facilities, including new pontoons.
