Coming by train or bus:

Of the two stations serving Newhaven, we recommend using Newhaven Harbour Station, although there are no ticket facilities and it is an unmanned platform only. It is a 10 minute walk from Port Security (across the road from the station) to the site office.

If walking through the Port to the Site office, for safety hi-visibility clothing must be worn. Please be aware that there are currently no dedicated pedestrian walkways and there is regular HGV traffic.

Local bus service 12/12A & 14/14C (Eastbourne to Brighton Coaster via. Newhaven) stops at Newhaven Town Station. It is approximately 15 minutes to walk from there.

South Coast Taxis: 01273 301 111

Upon arrival:

When driving pause at the Port security barriers at the entrance to the Newhaven Port East Quay. On recognition, the barrier shall be lifted, drive through and make your way to the Rampion Base. The speed limit is 20mph on the access road and 7mph within the car park.

Be aware that the Port is used by numerous large industries and therefore there is heavy vehicle traffic and a blind corner near the entrance to site.

When you get to the car park please reverse park..

Follow the pedestrian walkways and road crossings to the main entrance where you will be signed in and, if required,  receive your safety wear (PPE).
