Discover. Learn. Explore.
The Rampion Offshore Wind Farm Visitor Centre is now open in the newly refurbished Kings Road arches, just to the east of the i360 in Brighton, East Sussex.
With engaging and interactive displays, the Visitor Centre is an exciting and educational attraction which community groups can utilise.
- Discover the importance of offshore wind energy
- Learn about the Rampion Wind Farm story
- Explore how this relates to climate change and modern lifestyles
Use of the Visitor Centre is completely free but must be booked in advance for group visits (6 people or more) once restrictions are eased. Group-specific presentations or workshops can be arranged, and staff will be on-hand to answer any questions visitors may have.
It should be noted that toilet facilities are not available within the Visitor Centre but are located along the seafront.
What is there to see?
The aim of the centre is to increase awareness and understanding of the wind farm itself, offshore wind energy and global climate change.
The centre will house exhibitions, interactive displays, games and videos, as well as a 360o Virtual Reality (VR) experience that will take you out to the wind farm itself!
Quiz sheets, presentations, and activities are also available and can be provided free of charge to help enhance your visit.
