Big Bang @ Eastbourne 2017
Rampion participated in the Big Bang @ Eastbourne in 2017, part of the Big Bang Near Me Programme, the single biggest celebration of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM) for young people in the South East.
Students from nine local secondary schools attended the event to take part in hands-on activities to increase their awareness of offshore wind and its career opportunities. Rampion team members were on hand to answer questions from students and explain more about their day-to-day roles.
There was also a hands-on activity for the school children to help their understand more about how wind energy works.
Rampion’s participation in the Eastbourne event followed on from an earlier involvement with the Big Bang event at Northbrook College, Shoreham Airport Campus held in 2013.
