HGV movements along St Pauls Avenue – on hold

Rampion Offshore Wind HGV movements along St Pauls Avenue – on hold

The preparation for delivery of topsoil by heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to the Rampion cable route site in Brooklands Pleasure Park, adjacent to St Pauls Avenue, that was due to start on Monday (15 January, 2018) has been postponed due to weather and conditions.

This work was previously held over from Christmas due to weather and wet conditions at that time. The activity will be re-planned when the conditions are more favourable.

The topsoil that is due for delivery is required to level off the cable route trench in preparation for the re-planting of grass and vegetation as part of the final stage of our works, the reinstatement of the land.

The preparations did start on Monday (15 January) with traffic cones put in place in preparation and the topsoil itself was due start to arrive on Thursday (January 18). However the weather was too wet and windy to make it practicable.

The work is now on hold until further notice.

Updates will be published here when more details are known.
