Newhaven Fish Festival and children’s parade is back for 2021
The annual festival which is organised by the Sussex Community Development Association (SCDA) will take place on the 4th September and celebrates Newhaven’s community and fishing heritage.
The Children’s parade, led by the Earthquake Drummers, opens the event making its way from Denton Island through Newhaven town towards the Fish Festival at West Quay.
The children in the parade will wear outfits designed and created by themselves at a series of workshops sponsored by Rampion. Each child that participates in the parade will receive a certificate and Rampion goody bag.
Jennifer Donn, Stakeholder Manager for Rampion said “Rampion is delighted to sponsor the Newhaven Fish festival Children’s parade for the 4th year running. The annual free community event is a highlight in the town calendar and its great to have community events back after many were cancelled in 2020. We are passionate about supporting local community events where children can get involved and be creative, and this year’s clean marine theme fits so nicely with Rampions values to generate clean sustainable energy from offshore wind.”
The Fish Festival will have community stalls, youth activities, art displays and live entertainment throughout the day and is open 10:00-15:00.Back to Newhaven Fish Festival and children’s parade is back for 2021
