Rampion supports the Tide Mills Project
Rampion is delighted to support The Tide Mills Heritage week by sponsoring the creative workshops.
The Tide Mills Project is an exciting and ambitious community project organised by LYT Productions exploring the history of Tide Mills village, situated in-between Newhaven and Seaford.
Creative installations, free guided tours and live performances will form part of the Heritage week, starting on the 22nd September, immersing visitors in the history of Tide Mills which started in the 18th Century with the building of the tidal mill to grind corn, an early form of generating power sustainably.
Jennifer Donn, Rampion Stakeholder Manger said, “we are really pleased to be part of the Tide Mills Heritage celebration week. The site is an important part of our local heritage and its wonderful that the community can learn more about the site through the installations, workshops and tours held throughout the week.”
“Tide Mills – A Living History” will see LYT Productions working with local schools, colleges and community groups from Newhaven, Denton, Bishopstone, Seaford and the surrounding area to create a multi-sensory experience exploring the rich and varied history of the lost village.
